Todd Carney photographed in Bail with Schapelle Corby

Photographs continue to haunt disgraced NRL star Todd Carney, this time posing with convicted drug trafficker Schapelle Corby in Bali last night.

The ex-Cronulla Sharks playmaker is in Bali with a mutual friend of the Corby family and a photo of Carney celebrating with Corby sisters Schapelle and Mercedes has been leaked on Facebook.

Schapelle Corby was released from a Bali jail in February after serving nine years for drug smuggling.

Carney's best chance of rugby league redemption is thought to be in the English Super League with France-based club Catalans Dragons, after the Sharks tore up his contract in relation to a lude photo of him appearing to urinate into his own mouth which went viral on social media.

He is appealing Cronulla's decision on the grounds the Shire club 'did not follow due process' in firing him.

The 28-year-old was signed to Cronulla until the end of the 2018 season on a deal worth around $650,000 a season.

It was the third time Carney has been sacked by an NRL club after being let go by Canberra in 2008 and the Sydney Roosters in 2011.
