Bolt slams the Commonwealth Games: 'They're a bit s***'

Usain Bolt has reportedly revealed what he really thinks about the Commonwealth Games.

According to The Times, the Jamaican sprint star said he thought the Games were “a bit s***” and that “the Olympics were better” as he briefly left the Athletes’ village on day six.

Bolt didn’t take part in the 2006 or 2010 Commonwealth Games, and he will not compete in the 100 metres in Glasgow, instead choosing to run in the relay only.

Perhaps he is unhappy with the way he is being treated by the Scottish media, after participating in one of the weirdest press conferences in history upon his arrival in Glasgow.

“Usain, we're not here as journalists, we're here as fans,” dolloped one member of the broadcast media before requesting a selfie at the end of the session.

The all-important last question: his views on the impending vote to split from the union.

We didn’t really find out why he won’t be running in the 100 metres, but we do know that he is reluctant to wear a kilt, has no firm opinion on either the Israeli-Palestinian conflict nor the Scottish independence referendum, and will grudgingly accept fawning requests to pose for selfies.

One journalist did actually ask him about athletics and whether he was actually going to run - and not just appear with the mascot and be an unofficial games ambassador before pulling out.

Bolt said with a laugh: “That is a weird question. I don’t have any other reason to travel all the way to Glasgow.”

He did seem to enjoy himself when he met up with the royal family however, joking around with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Prince Harry.

He even went as far as to ask the Prince if he worked out.
