PARIS, Nov 15 (Reuters) - The International Ski Federation is considering sanctions against Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland after they joined forces to organise an indoor competition in France last week.

The so-called European indoor championships took place in the Amneville Snowhall in eastern France.

FIS, whose council met in Zurich over the weekend, said in a statement published on its website (www.fis-ski.com) that the world body "acknowledged proposals for sanctions against the four National Ski Associations that have formed their own European Ski Federation, but decided to put them on hold for the time being".
