Mayweather broke up with girlfriend because 'she killed our twin babies'

Boxing bad boy Floyd Mayweather has made the stunning claim that he broke up with his long-time partner because she allegedly aborted their unborn twins.

The man known as 'Money' made the allegation against former fiance Shantel Jackson in a post on Facebook and Instagram that included an ultrasound photo and medical paperwork.

The posts were quickly deleted, but they were captured by a US news editor and quickly spread online.

"The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @missjackson broke up was because she got a abortion, and I'm totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies," the post read.

The pair broke up earlier this year after a four-year relationship.

It appears that Jackson has moved on with rapper Nelly, posting a picture of the pair on her own Instagram page.

The drama comes just days out from Mayweather's fight with Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas this Sunday (AEST).

Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, declined to comment on Mayweather's allegation, but told the New York Post the fighter is focused on his bout with Maidana.

"Floyd is focused on what he’s got to do," Ellerbe said.

"When the bell rings, you'll see the same Floyd Mayweather."

Mayweather is unbeaten in 45 professional fights and is regarded as one of the greatest boxers who ever lived, but he is as well known for his antics outside the ring.

He served a 90-day prison sentence in September 2010 for battery upon an ex-girlfriend. He also had four previous domestic violence charges, none of which resulted in a prison sentence.

The 37-year-old is also infamous for showing off his personal fortune, believed to be worth $US34 million a year.

Mayweather made headlines earlier this week when he expressed an interest in buying the LA Clippers NBA franchise.
