Anthony Mundine appears to have shelved plans to stage a controversial political protest before next week's world title contest against Daniel Geale.
Mundine was reportedly planning to sit down or turn his back during the pre-fight rendition of the national anthem in protest of the way Aborigines are treated in Australia.
Geale has labelled the plan a low act and wants to send Mundine into retirement.
"He's not what he used to be, you know he's heading towards the end and I think he knows that."
The pair clash at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Wednesday night.

So its ok for Mundine to do this yet if a boxer did that during the Aboriginal anthem or something else he'd be all sooky. This is why people in Australia dont respect Mundine. The guy is a loud mouth arrogant bum who fights other bums and has the nerve to call himself a champion. You're a joke Mundine. Maybe you should go to America. And stay there
