Star AFL convert Israel Folau is leaving GWS to return to rugby league next season.
Folau shocked league pundits when he switched codes and signed with the AFL's newest franchise Greater Western Sydney in 2010.
Giants CEO Dave Matthews and head coach Kevin Sheedy join Folau at a press conference at four o’clock this afternoon.
They announced their disappointment but praised Folau for his honesty.
The 23-year-old codehopper said it was a difficult decision to make.
In July, Folau vehemently denied he would be leaving GWS when his contract ended in September this year. In his 13-game career in the AFL, Folau kicked 2 goals, 8 behinds, 22 marks and 18 tackles for the Giants.
According to Fairfax Folau will be joining the Parramatta Eels in the NRL.

u_b Rooster isn't that big kock sure type you see brazenly brazing away at Red Rooster. He is however a feisty little bantam rooster. I feel confident that beneath those plucky feathers hides a little pecker with no predisposition for procreation. He may not necessary be a gay rooster however, but simply a prancing little effeminate attention seeking bantam weight with ambition???
2 RepliesWell done Israel. Hope you go back to the Broncos.

ReplyWell done Israel. Must be the easiest money you ever made. afl is a joke played and watched by no brain neanderthals .Without a doubt the stupidest game ever seen.
3 RepliesRed bum Rooster you little gay Allah Kebab shirt lifter. I repeat Israel has now swapped sides so I feel it reasonable to assume those huge disposals and long bombs will no longer rain down on Jordon. You are a thick feathered little Rooster at times and I think maybe its time you go a good plucking. Halal for now and stop worrying your little pecker off.
