FA confirm appointment of West Brom chief Ashworth

The FA have confirmed West Bromwich Albion chief Dan Ashworth as their new director of elite development.

Ashworth will stay with the Barclays Premier League club until next summer when he will take up his post at the FA's new national football centre at St George's Park.

Ashworth has been West Brom's sporting and technical director since July 2008.
