Chelsea push to close deal for Fluminense flyer Wallace

Chelsea hope to sign Fluminense wing-back Wallace in the coming days.

The Mirror says Chelsea are on the brink of landing right-back Wallace from Brazilian side Fluminense - but are still targeting Marseille's Cesar Azpilicueta as their starter in that problem position.

The Blues acquired a 40 per cent stake in Wallace's economics right last year, as part of the deal that sent Brazilian-born Portuguese midfielder Deco back to the Rio De Janeiro club.

But with Italian sides Napoli and Juventus now circling the 18-year-old - whose full name is Wallace Oliveira dos Santos - the European champions have stepped up their interest and are expected to complete the paperwork in the next few days.
