Spain end their final game in the London Olympics with a 0-0 draw against Morocco but crash out of the competition after successive defeats and without scoring a goal.

An entertaining game at Old Trafford ended all square and whilst Spain hit the woodwork twice and created goalscoring opportunities Morocco looked dangerous on the break and in striker Amrabat had the best player on the pitch.

Adrian hit the post in the first half for Spain then missed a glaring opportunity after the break with just the keeper to beat, then in the final minute saw a deflected effort clip the crossbar.

The Atlas Lions tested David de Gea playing on his home ground but lacked the finishing touch despite impressive approach play.

Both teams are now out of the competition but Morocco can take more positives out of their participation than their opponents who failed to win a game despite being one of the pre-tournament favourites.
