Let this be a warning to takers of cheeky penalties everywhere - when things go wrong you can end up looking like a right idiot.
Amir Sayoud of Egyptian giants Al Ahly perpetrated one of the worst penalties of all time on Tuesday when he attempted to deceive Kima Aswan's goalkeeper from the spot.
Amir approached the ball and faked to shoot but pulled back at the last moment as the goalkeeper move to his right. But as he tried to shoot properly, Amir lost balance and fell over on to the ball, propelling it weakly towards the keeper.
To make matters worse, the goal would not have counted even if he had scored - it is illegal to take a 'fake' shot with a penalty, and the referee showed him a yellow card for his offence.
On the bright side, Al Ahly won the match 4-0.

That was so cool wow what a muck up but at least he and the other players were laughing not brawling like the no good AFL
Replywhat an idiot !
ReplyEven thou Al Ahly won the match 4-0, but this footballer Amir Sayoud instead of getting the "Golden Boots" award he got himself "The Joker Of The Century Award". Not too bad !! LOL
Replyyou can see his foot kicked the ground in his attempt to take the plenty then he took a second kick hence the yellow card, and i don't know so much about having taken a dive if it happened else where in some countries he would of been running to get away from the angry crowd
Replybecause pagasus, the ball moves so fast of the foot that sometimes keepers have to guess where its going (tho they should always watch the ball) fake kicks often put keepers off and cause them to dive early. The game isn't filled with whiney prats, just C.Ronaldo, Balotelli, The entire Itallian team and Mancunited
