Richards claims V8 victory in Darwin

Ford driver Steven Richards has won round six of the V8 Supercar series at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin on Sunday.

Richards clinched the round with victory in the third race this weekend after finishing second in race one and two.

Richards won the round ahead of fellow Ford driver Mark Winterbottom with Holden's Garth Tander third.

The trio finished in the top three placings in each of the three races.

Winterbottom retained the championship lead.
