Brett Stewart was the face of the NRL ahead of the 2009 season, but an off-field controversy involving a boozy club function and a teenage girl, which turned out to be inaccurate, forever tarnished Stewart's reputation. During the legal action Stewart was removed from all NRL promotional material. He and NRL CEO at the time David Gallop never quite saw eye to eye after that.

Seriously dont you guys have better thngs to write about this is very poor journalism.... media has become a low business in these sad times
Replythey forget sometimes who is watching Kids idolizing Football we dont need idots playing the game all clubs should take responibilty for their players & their actions on & off the field.
ReplyToo much testosterone affects their brains and in combination with celebrity and alcohol, they loose all sense of right and wrong.
ReplyThe Stewart boys for Manly, the quicker they quit the game, the better. Bret Stewart behaviour towards CEO Gallop was so childish and far from "manly"in his beahviour. The club Manly have had a great tradition with some very great players but the Stewart's not worthy of any greatness. They are still kids mentally, wait until they are around 40 years old. No one will remember them other than for their bad behaviour.
3 RepliesSome of these are just guys doing what they do in their private lives. What was Jared Hayne doing out at 4am? It's none of my business. And before you say "role model", do what I do and take responsiblity for raisng your own kids.
