Peachey was a legend of league, especially in NSW. 232 games for Cronulla and representative duties for Country, NSW and Australia demonstrated just how good the 190cm fullback was. His trademark speed, shimmy and cheerful demeanour made him a fan-favourite. Peachey gave back to the community by establishing The David Peachey Foundation which helps fund the development of Indigenous kids from rural and remote areas with a flare for league.

Replybuddy franklin before peter matera, gotta be kidding.
ReplyJust to add to my previous post..why isn't "Chicken George" on the list? Didn't he achieve enough?
ReplyWhew, just for a moment I thought the Big Fulla missed out too, but he was there and just as well. It ain't a list without Big Artie. I agree with Lumwana Chris tho. No Polly Farmer or Sid Jackson and from league, no John "Chicka" Ferguson and what about the "Black Flash", Larry Corowa? I think they tried too hard to get as many sports on the list instead of aiming for the best sports people.
ReplyTotally agree with Lumwana Chris! Prolly Farmer changed the game of AFL. To not have him in there is a travesty! BTW Cyril Rioli would be a good inclusion.
