Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked with a sensational return to Manchester United.

teinteresta.es says Ronaldo could end up back at United next season. It is suggested the Portugal star will reject an improved contract offer and has made it clear that financial issues are not key to his decision.

Indeed, he could request a transfer from the Liga champions.

The Portuguese star recently lavished praise on United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, telling CNN: "He's a fantastic person. A human person. He taught me many things. Like I said before, he's like a father in football, because he taught me many things. I really miss him because I have a great relationship with him."
