Espanyol chief Planes denies Heskey move as Norwich, Stoke circle

Espanyol sporting director Ramon Planes denies they're in talks for Emile Heskey.

The striker is a free agent after being released with Aston Villa.

Planes told Sport: "I know about the rumours in the papers but we are not interested in Heskey or any other footballer.

"The squad is closed and the coach has not demanded any more players. Espanyol have a mix of experience and youth this season and that is sufficient to obtain our objectives."

Norwich City and Stoke City are also being linked with Heskey.
