AC Milan chief Galliani: We did everything to land Real Madrid's Kaka

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani admits they were never close to landing Real Madrid star Kaka.

Galliani says he attempted to land the Brazilian in the summer.

"We couldn't make Kaka an economical offer without the consent of Real Madrid," the Diavolo Vice-President told Sky Sport Italia.

"We wanted to take him on loan, but they only wanted to sell him outright and we couldn't go over their heads."
