Olympiakos swoop for Sydney target Del Piero

Greek club Olympiakos could yet win the race to sign Alessandro Del Piero.

The former Juventus star has been in talks with A-League club Sydney FC recently but it appears as though Olympiakos are now in pole position for his signature according to hisd brother and agent Stefano.

"At this moment, I can't say anything more than that we are in contact," Stefano Del Piero said.

"Be patient. It is a matter of hours before we see if Alessandro will play for Olympiakos or not."
