Melbourne Heart looking to complete deal for ex-Hull forward Garcia

Melbourne Heart are confident that they will soon complete a deal for experienced forward Richard Garcia.

The 30-year old, who has been in and out of the Socceroos setup in recent years, has been on trial with the Heart after he was released by English Championship club Hull City at the end of last season.

The club's football operations manager John Didulica feels he is in good enough shape to step straight into A-league action for the Heart who are preparing for their third season in the A-League.

"We had the medical tests on him last week, and he was in excellent physical condition, so hopefully we can finalise the deal," Didulica said.

"I don't see why there is any reason why he can't do well with us and potentially then get back into Socceroo calculation."
