Arsenal are closing in on Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin.
The Mail on Sunday says Arsenal are confident of landing Sahin next week as the Turkey midfielder, who also holds a German passport, wants to join the London club as opposed to Liverpool, who are also keen on him.
Real Madrid would rather Sahin went to Anfield because they would receive a larger loan fee but they will bow their player's wish to go to The Emirates.
