Bayern Munich confirm planned bid for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has confirmed they're moving for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez.

Hoeness says they'll now be bidding for the Spain international.

"The board has given the green light, and in the coming days we will tell if the transfer is done or not," Hoeness told Bild.
