Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo has been dubbed "The Caretaker" inside English football.

The Daily Star Sunday says Di Matteo, 42, is still being referred to in the game as "The Caretaker" because of that shadow - Pep Guardiola.

The former Barcelona boss IS the man Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants in charge at Stamford Bridge.

But Guardiola, 41, was adamant he was taking a year out after quitting his trophy-laden career at the Nou Camp at the end of last season.

However, the feeling at other Premier League clubs is that Guardiola will be back next season - at the Bridge.
