Aston Villa continued their preparations for the new season with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

After falling behind to an 11th-minute goal from Niclas Fullkrug, Villa responded positively with Darren Bent drawing them level and Ciaran Clark taking them to the interval with a 2-1 lead.

The home team equalised when Eljero Elia fired home before Bent got his second of the match in the 68th minute.

However, Villa's advantage did not last long as Aaron Hunt grabbed the equaliser in the 71st minute to ensure the game finished in a draw.
