West Bromwich Albion are believed to be close to signing Swedish international Markus Rosenberg.

The 29-year old striker is a free agent after leaving German club Werder Bremen at the end of last season with reports suggesting he is on the verge of joining the Baggies.

Goal.com is of the belief that Rosenberg could make the move to The Hawthorns as early as Tuesday which will reunite him with Sweden teammate Jonas Olsson.

Rosenberg kicked off his career with Malmo in 2001 and has since spent time with Halmstads (loan), Ajax, Bremen and Racing Santander (loan).
