Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho rates Tottenham ace Luka Modric as BETTER than imminent Arsenal signing Santi Cazorla.

Cazorla is expected to formally sign for the Gunners this week from crisis club Malaga.

And Marca says senior officials at Malaga contacted Real president Florentino Perez to sound him out about signing Cazorla.

But Mourinho refused the proposal, citing his desire to concentrate his efforts on signing Tottenham midfielder Modric instead.
