Man Utd move to beat Tottenham for Porto's Moutinho

Manchester United are lining up a bid for Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.

A Bola says United are preparing to make an offer for the Portugal international as manager Sir Alex Ferguson seeks a new midfield signing.

Moutinho is also a target for Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Barcelona.

Ferguson is currently in Manchester overseeing this week's transfer moves while his squad tours Scandinavia.
