Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu has suffered a foot injury.

The Romanian defender limped off at half-time during Thursday's 3-0 victory over Hajduk in the Third Preliminary Round of the Europa League.

"Chivu underwent diagnostic procedures at the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Foundation in Pavia" on Friday, confirmed a club statement.

"The tests, supervised by Inter's chief of medical staff Franco Combi, revealed that the Romanian defender has dislocated the second toe on his right foot."
