Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany suffered a hamstring injury in their 0-0 draw against friendly opponents Dynamo Dresden.

Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez all started but City, who were beaten 1-0 by Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal on Friday, were unable to find the net for the second friendly game running.

Tevez played in Portuguese youngster Marcos Lopes whose effort was well blocked by Sebastian Schuppan, but the best chance of the first half fell to Dresden.

City keeper Costel Pantilimon made a hash of a long-range shot and was then forced into a point-blank save to deny David Solga from the rebound.
