Liverpool's Carroll wants Newcastle return

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is keen on a return to Newcastle United.

The Toon are expected to try again for Carroll after having a loan offer knocked back by the Reds.

Carroll has told friends if he is to leave Liverpool his preference would be for a switch back to his former club, especially after Newcastle finished fifth and qualified for the Europa League, says the Daily Express.
