New York Red Bulls have benefited from Alessandro Nesta's move to Montreal Impact.

The former AC Milan and Lazio defender signed for the Impact yesterday.

The New York Post reports Impact had to acquire first priority on Nesta from the Red Bulls, and the exchange was valuable allocation money.
