Chelsea signing Hazard rejected Real Madrid, Barcelona for England move

There was no chance of Barcelona or Real Madrid convincing Eden Hazard about a move to Spain, it has been revealed.

The former Lille star had his heart always set on the Premier League and signed for Chelsea last month - despite offers from both Spanish giants.

A member of Hazard's camp told Sport/Voetbalmagazin: "It was a conscious choice.

"Eden loves the rhythm of the match, the atmosphere in the stands, and he thinks English football is the best."

Not even the influence of Zinedine Zidane at Real could change Hazard's mind.
