Real Madrid enjoy first option on Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas - though time is ticking on the agreement.

El Confidencial says Real president Florentino Perez has a 'gentlemen's agreement' with Sao Paulo over Lucas, but that is due to expire on June 30.

Real must decide in the coming weeks whether to splash out for the Brazil international or risk an open auction later.
