Luiz seeks Chelsea release for Olympics

Chelsea defender David Luiz hopes to play for Brazil at the London Olympics.

Brazil manager Mano Menezes wants Luiz, 25, as an over-age player, says the Daily Mail.

Chelsea are sympathetic, but if Luiz plays at London 2012 he could miss his club's summer US tour which begins against Seattle Sounders on July 18. The tour concludes on July 28 against AC Milan - but Brazil's first Olympics Group C match is two days before that on July 26.
