Ex-Roma defender Tomic backing pursuit of Man City defender Savic

Former AS Roma defender Ivan Tomic has backed their move for Manchester City defender Stefan Savic.

Savic is a loan target for Roma after losing Nicolas Burdisso for the season with a knee injury.

Tomic told TMW: "He's a really strong player, I guarantee him.

"He's a complete, classic defender. Great pace and ability to read the game. He can be decisive over the 90 minutes and his heading is terrific."
