League One Walsall have completed the signing of former Manchester United striker Fabien Brandy following his trial period, reports BBC Sport.

After impressing manager Dean Smith, the free agent has joined on a permanent basis.

Smith said: "He's a lively player with good pace and undoubted talent who has unfulfilled potential, which we hope he will be able to fulfil here."

He added: "He will certainly offer us a different dimension and is a welcome addition."

Brandy began his career at Manchester United, but never played a first-team game, going out on loan a few times.
