Melbourne Renegades recruit Alex Hales, who flew in this morning to replace the injured Marlon Samuels, has put in a sensational first hit-out with four sixes in one over, including three sixes in a row.
With his third ball of the over, Hales nearly hit the ball out of the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The England batsman landed in Australia just this morning, and has made an immediate impact for his new side scoring 89 off just 52 balls.
He hit eight sixes in total in the spectacular innings.
The table-topping Renegades are taking on the Sydney Sixers at the SCG.
Hales spectacular knock should come as no surprise, as the 24-year-old once scored 55 runs in a single over as a teenager.
Playing in a Cricket Idol T20 match at the Nursery Ground at Lord's, he hit 52 and had three no-balls to record the stunning rate.
Speaking before the match, Renegades coach Simon Helmot said Hales was a more than adequate replacement for Samuels.
"He's just turned 24 but he's already an accomplished T20 batsman who has taken apart international attacks all over the world," Helmot said.
"He's obviously been an important member of the England T20 team over the last couple of years."Hales replaced Samuels after the West Indies star fractured his eye socket and was ruled out of the rest of the Big Bash League.
