New Zealand's place on the world cricket rankings has plunged to the point that Bangladesh threaten to pass them at both one-day international and Twenty20 level.
A disastrous tour of the West Indies saw the Black Caps lose the ODI series 4-1, the Twenty20 series 2-0 and the Test series 2-0.
The West Indies pushed New Zealand back to eighth place on the official ICC world Test rankings released on Thursday.
The Black Caps also reside in eighth spot on the ODI ladder and are seventh as a T20 nation.
In the two shorter forms of the game, Bangladesh sit just a handful of points behind the Black Caps, having climbed considerably in both.
The only consolation for New Zealand supporters is that Australia are ranked behind both the Black Caps and Bangladesh in Twenty20 cricket following a poor series of results.
New Zealand's highest rated players in any form of cricket are Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum, who are deemed the second and third best Twenty20 batsmen respectively.Nobody makes the top-10 in Test cricket while Daniel Vettori and Kyle Mills are the ninth and 10th ranked ODI bowlers.
