I would have dropped Hard-on down to 6 or 7 and opened with the in-form Marsh.

Watto can fail here and it'd be ok. At least he's contributed this summer unlike some others.

Plus he's probably a bit flat mentally/emotionally after his Ipswich visit. Not like going to a bar during a test you know.

Watto is doing exactly what Clarke did.

You're right Haddin will have a brain fade and scoop one to cover - but not before he makes 13 from 45 balls.

No bowling depth.

Smith out for 16 to a periscope shot.

Pietersen will dance down the wicket to Hussey and Haddin bat the ball away with his thigh for four.

These geese need to sort out between different forms of cricket.

Clark in his last 9 innings has scored 469 runs @ 94

I thought Hilditch put Haddin under intense pressure by not selecting him in the T20 and his confidence is shot? Come on, who is it putting Hads under intense pressure? Gotta feel for people under intense pressure

Hmmm....Well clearly Clarke must now play the Watto role and make the runs at an SR of 100 or thereabouts.

White just has to stay there and not do anything - 24 from 126 balls would be his instructions.

That's how it works isn't it?

8.2

Shahzad to Clarke, FOUR, well played by Clarke, he's used his feet here to walk down the pitch and across outside off, and lifts this ball over wide midwicket, safely and timed well enough to reach the boundary

So who is to blame now?

Come 1am and Clarkie will be in some bar with Frodo "gimme the money" Hughes blaming the 17 year old kid.

They should have played the skinny kid as captain.

The victardrian Midget brigade to the rescue. Come on Snow and Dud. SOS, save the useless allstars.

Bresnan to Clarke, OUT, ooooh dear! Clarke has not capitalised on his start. He's chased a wide one, which was there to be hit, but he's cut it straight to Bell who is just forward of point, what a disappointing end for the stand-in captain.

Chased a wide one - hahaha.

Give the 17 y.o. a job.

Shahzad to Hussey, 1 run, thickish inside edge gets Hussey off the mark through square leg and that's his first ODI run since August 2009

hahaha

If we lose this game, actually scrap that, even if we win, I am not going to blame the top 3 for failing, I am going to blame the Spam White for scoring too slow.
