Australia responds to pressure
July 29, 2009

Edgbaston is looming as a massive test. We could either level the series or if we don’t play as well as we are used to we could find ourselves two-nil down.
The good thing is, when the Australian team has a challenge like this put in front of them it is generally the time when we play our best.
It's rained 12 days out of 14 in Birmingham so the wicket will not be as 'prepared' as it normally would be. I think it's going to be a low, slow wicket. I think spin will play a big part.
I'm picking big performances from Andrew Strauss and Andrew Flintoff and it'll be a challenge for us to keep them down.
I'm also picking Phil Hughes to hit a big hundred for us.
I can see whole the team responding to the pressure and putting in a strong performance.
I've started bowling again in the last couple of days. The way things are I'm a 99 per cent chance of being available for the fourth Test.
I reckon I can run in now and bowl at full pace and finish the Test without problems but chances are if I don’t give myself the proper rest period it's more likely I will re-injure myself.
For myself, and the team, it's not worth the risk of breaking down within the first few overs of the match.
