Back in time for the IPL?
February 17, 2009

I am really pleased with my recovery so far. I am progressing in leaps and bounds. Everything is going to according to plan and then some.
I'm feeling fit, I’ve put my weight back on and I'm ahead of schedule.
At this stage I'm hoping I can get everything sorted in time for the IPL.
That will be a matter of feeling match fit… and after that I'm ready to go.
The Australian team's comeback against New Zealand was simply amazing.
I was there to watch Adam Voges' catch at the SCG and it was the best I've seen in some time.
Funnily enough he produced something similar in a Sheffield Shield match just recently.
It was the linchpin moment that got us over the line in the Twenty20 international.
It is on to South Africa now. We have a lot of work to do but there is always a lot of pressure when you are playing a home series.
The team has been working hard on certain areas and we are starting to achieve results. This tour will be about going to the next level and producing those results overseas.
Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle and Doug Bollinger have an opportunity to come together as a unit.
It's always good to play with experience but unfortunately at this particular time with myself and Stuart Clark unavailable they we are a little down on that but these guys have a great chance to perform in South Africa.

It was great to see a few more Aussies picked up by IPL franchises. They were obviously signed because they are all great players and I wish them the best of luck.
It's a great series to be part of and is a lot of fun.
Shaun Marsh used last year's IPL as a platform to lift his game and he's done it to great success with his name well known on the world stage now.
This year other young Aussies have the same opportunity and it could be great for them.
I've really enjoyed my blog series and I hope the readers have enjoyed the read as much as I've enjoyed putting my comments out there.
I look forward to the next run.

Welcome back to India . . .:)
Waiting to see Punjab Kings II in action . . .
Wuld love to see you back!Have you been going to any games lately?I agree it was an amazing come-back, its because Australia had the that drive to win a series and New Zealand because they were so sure of themselves. Please message me, would be great to talk to one of my all time role-models :)

Don't mean to moan at you mate but I can't believe your focussed on the IPL and not the ashes.
If the ashes goes that's the end of cricket.
