'Inappropriate celebrations,' starring Alexsandr Zubkov

Why is Russian Alexey Voevoda giving his bobsled teammate Alexsandr Zubkov such a sour look? After all, Zubkov is just celebrating the fact that the Russian team remained in medal contention. That seems like a time for smiling, right?

Sure, until you realize the reason they were still in contention is because of a terrifying crash by the Canadian team. That warrants a stinkface.

Deadspin has the video of the television broadcast and untimely reaction by Zubkov. It's pretty amazing to watch him go from jubilant to "uh-oh I'm on TV" in about two seconds.

After examinations, the Canadian team of Lyndon Rush and Lascelles Brown were found to be medically sound, so this ends up a happy story. Furthermore, the Russians eventually won bronze, which surely resulted in completely justified and wholly appropriate smiles and celebration from Zubkov.
