Fourth-Place Medal

Gold-winning Gabrielle Douglas gets congratulations from everyone — even Oprah

Gabrielle Douglas made history with her all-around gold in gymnastics on Thursday. With her win, she became the first American to win a team and all-around gold, and the first African-American to win the all-around gold. Her teammate and competitor Jordyn Wieber tweeted congratulations, but it didn't end there. Immediately, congratulations came rolling in via Twitter.

Johnson, who won silver in the all-around in Beijing, trained with Douglas at Chow's. She saw Douglas turn into the confident young woman who won all-around gold.

In 1996, Dominique Dawes became the first African-American woman to win an individual gymnastics medal.

Congratulations came from the political world, as well, as White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett tweeted Douglas.

And on the other side of the world from Jarrett, Nicki Minaj called Douglas an amazing little firecracker. Can it get any more random? Of course it can. Carlton Banks is impressed. But did Douglas' win affect anyone who rules over a multimedia conglomerate and enough money to dive into, Scrooge McDuck-style?

Douglas is one of Oprah's favorite things.
