Who should carry the U.S. flag for the Closing Ceremony?

The honor of being the flag bearer for the Olympic Closing Ceremony is bestowed by the athletes themselves. Joey Cheek, a speedskating gold medalist who donated his prize money to charity, carried the flag in Turin. Here are a few suggestions for American Olympians:

Angela Ruggiero: The captain of the silver-medal-winning women's hockey team has been a leader not just in these Olympics, but through four Olympics. She is respected by her peers and was even recently named a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Hannah Teter: She's a two-time medalist in snowboarding, winning silver in Vancouver and gold in Torino. Beyond that, Teter is a unique and selfless woman, donating prize money to charity, selling women's underwear to raise funds for Haiti, and planning to live off the grid after these Olympics.

Apolo Anton Ohno: During these Olympics, he became the most decorated U.S. Winter Olympian, and this is likely the last time we will see him compete.

Bill Demong or Johnny Spillane: Before the Olympics, the U.S. hadn't won a single medal in the Nordic combined in the 86 years it was an Olympic sport. In these Olympics, they've medaled in every event, including a gold in the individual large hill for Demong, and a silver for Spillane.

UPDATE: According to U.S. Ski and Snowboard officials, Bill Demong will carry in the flag.
