Former Adelaide player Aaron Kite has been given permission to train with Carlton.

Kite was a fifth round draftee in 2007, but has yet to play an AFL game.

He was de-listed by Adelaide last month along with Robert Shirley, Nick Gill, Greg Gallman and Tom Lee.
