Sydney defender Tadhg Kennelly may only miss one match after scans cleared him of any serious damage to his knee on Monday.
The Swans issued a statement on Monday afternoon saying Kennelly would miss this week's clash with Port Adelaide but would be tested prior to the club's Round 10 clash with Richmond.
The dashing defender dislocated his right kneecap last season, missing two games before sitting out the last four games of the year due to recurring knee problems.
There were fears Kennelly had seriously injured his knee on Sunday after coming to grief in a tackle in the second quarter.
