Dean Robinson finally broke his silence today. In the wake of the drugs scandal that has rocked the AFL, Robinson’s lawyer told Seven exclusively that he didn't dope the Essendon Bombers.
The man known as 'The Weapon' has appointed leading QC David Gallbally, who spoke exclusively to Seven on his behalf.
"He has done absolutely nothing wrong," Gallbally said.Gallbally says the scandal is taking its toll on his client.
"At this point in time he's a shattered man. And just overtaken emotionally by all the events that have happened.
"Robinson himself can't talk, he remains an Essendon employee on full pay pending the investigation, with legal sources raising mounting concern over the crime commission's case against Essendon.
"He can not and will not prejudice that investigation."
James Hird and Mark Thompson were back at training today. Hird spoke out amid allegations Essendon coaches may have doped."I just want the players to be cleared then we'll get on with the rest thank you."

Be fair everybody you know if this was happening to collingwood we would all be writing horrible things about them.Even when they don't do anything wrong we jump all over them
ReplyThis is a classic case of putting the' cart before the horse' - all speculation so far with no obvious substance or evidence. As stated by others here, you are innocent until proven guilty, but in this case looks like everyone is guilty until they are proven innocent, the AFL, ASADA and ACC have run to the media to make a statement - they have made themselves look silly. BTW underarm - you are a D$%#head.
ReplyThey should ban all drugs in the AFL, they should not be allowed to drink water or even breath
ReplyIn my days investigating things, we used to have a hunch, check some facts, gather our evidence, check our evidence, re-check and test our evidence, interview the 'suspect', verify that against evidence, re-interview the 'suspect', lay charges if appropriate, set a court date and then, maybe then, let the Minister/ press know if it was a significant case. With modern Government, the process seems to be: have a hunch, email the Minister, organise the press conference. Where are the arrests, where are the raids? Something very very fishy here
1 Replyi have to laugh. drugs out of sport? NEVER going to happen. until the powers that be realise this and control it, this is always going to happen. face reality, not an idealism that won't be reached. as soon as one test is made, either a workaround will be found or a new drug that can't be tested will come out. and so the cycle continues....
