Collingwood midfielder Marley Williams will appear in court after he was charged with assault on Thursday.

The 19-year-old was allegedly involved in an incident at a nightclub in his hometown of Albany on Wednesday night.

And the club confirmed the young Magpie was facing assault charges, with a court appearance set for a later date.

"As this is a police matter the club will be making no further comment at this time," the statement read.

Williams, who was taken with pick 35 in the 2011 rookie draft, played six games in his debut season in 2012.

If it smells putrid like an Allison, is as dumb as an Allison and is ugly as an Allison, fair bet it is an Allison

Fark being a role model. Who gives a rats about that. It's about winning the game at all costs and belting the opposition players and supporters

I say. Judging by the photo, this fellow has not long been out of the trees. Is this type of person meant to be a role model for our youngsters?
