Despite facing potential deregistration, Adelaide forward Kurt Tippett has delisted himself and nominated for December's pre-season draft on Wednesday.
The former Crow remains under intense scrutiny for his previous contract dealings with the club but hopes to find a spot on the list of reigning premiers Sydney via the draft.
The AFL have given Tippett an extension to set his financial terms for the draft as a 'category one player'.
As a result, the 25-year-old is expected to outline hefty contract demands in a bid to dissuade Greater Western Sydney from picking him up with the No.1 pick in the pre-season draft.
Tippett, having delisted himself before the third list lodgement deadline on Thursday, is not eligible to join the Swans as a free agent.
Tippett, the Crows' football manager Phil Harper and chief executive Steven Trigg are set to front an AFL commission hearing on Friday having being charged with salary cap cheating and draft tampering in relation to the key forward's now expired contract.
Tippett became the Crows' highest paid player in 2009 when he signed a three-year multi-million dollar contract extension but the Crows have since admitted to a once-secret deal outside of his initial contract.
