The AFL have announced further charges against the Adelaide Crows and two of their staff members as the mystery surrounding Kurt Tippett and his contract intensifies.
The charges focus around the contract made for Tippett in 2009, with the club alleged to have made extra payments to the player outside the salary cap.
Adelaide CEO Steven Trigg and football operations manager Phil Harper have been hit with the charges and the AFL will meet on Monday to discuss the penalty it will hand down.
The AFL released a statement on Wednesday outlining the new charges, with football operations manager Adrian Anderson saying: "In accordance with AFL Player Rule 17, which relates to the enforcement of the AFL Draft and Total Player Payments, I have today issued a further three charges.
"The Adelaide Crows Football Club, Adelaide Crows Chief Executive Officer Steven Trigg and Adelaide Crows General Manager Football Operations Phil Harper have each been charged once as follows:
"Contrary to Rule 17 of the Rules, between September 2009 and October 2012, you engaged in conduct in breach of the Total Player Payments provisions in the Rules.
"Again, in accordance with Rule 17, the Adelaide Crows FC, Mr Trigg and Mr Harper were each advised today in writing of the charges.
"These further charges will also be heard before the full AFL Commission next Monday, November 19, at 1pm at AFL House."
The AFL commission have several options for when they decide what penalties should apply, with the loss of draft picks, financial sanctions and the deregistration of Tippett among the possibilities.
In a statement, the Crows said the new charges were similar to the previous ones.
"The Adelaide Football Club has received and understands the latest charges from the AFL's investigation into contract arrangements with Kurt Tippett," the statement read.
"These matters are closely related to the existing charges.
"The club will present its case to the AFL Commission on Monday and is determined to explain its position to members, sponsors and all stakeholders as soon as possible."

I smell a Victorian conspiracy. I bet Crows get hammered disproportionately when compared to Carlton's punishment. Vics have always been dirty.
