Adelaide have suffered a massive blow during Saturday's qualifying final loss to Sydney as key defender Daniel Talia suffered a broken arm during the game.

The NAB Rising Star winner for this season suffered a broken forearm when he contested for the ball during the final quarter and fell over his opponent, putting his arm out to brace the fall.

The incident looked somewhat innocuous but Talia instantly held his arm and has now been taken to hospital, although it is unknown whether he will need surgery just yet.

The injury will probably rule Talia out for the remainder of the finals series as the Crows try to re-group following Saturday's 29-point loss, a result that will see them face either Geelong or Fremantle in a semi-final next Friday night.

Adelaide's other injury concern, key midfielder Patrick Dangerfield, came off during the final term holding his jaw, but according to the Crows club website, has told coach Brenton Sanderson that he was 'fine'.
