The immediate playing future of Adelaide forward Kurt Tippett is in doubt after the Crows confirmed he had been withdrawn from the side that will face Fremantle at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.
Tippett was originally included in Adelaide's 22 on Thursday night after he sat out the last two matches due to the effects of concussion.
The 25-year-old sustained three separate concussions in his last five matches and his welfare has been one of the biggest talking points of the season.
Adelaide have decided to take extra caution with the Gold Coast native by ruling him out again this week.
Lewis Johnston has replaced Tippett in Adelaide's selected side.
Tippett had been enjoying a productive season before his health issues struck, kicking 30 goals from 15 matches.
Taken at pick No.32 in the 2006 draft, has played 98 games and booted 179 goals for the Crows since debuting in 2008.
